Press Release
Log Windows sales for FY-2000 exceed that of
AEA in 1994, equal to
1995 sales
CSS revives Log Windows from defeat and sees increase in TNC software
sales.
Muscle Shoals, Alabama. February 14,
2001: Creative Services Software announced that FY 2000
sales of the Log Windows logging program exceeded the number of units sold
by AEA in 1994 and equaled the number of units sold by AEA in 1995.
"This proves that there is still a market, abet a smaller one than
other markets, for Ham Radio Software.", said Rick Ruhl, W4PC,
President of Creative Services Software. "Many consider 1995
the year the Internet had a big influence on Amateur radio, and I think
our 2000 sales show that many who went to the Internet have join the ranks
of the Log Windows owners, due to our Internet enabling of the
program."
CSS also reported that sales of its TNC products, PacTerm '98 and
PKTerm '99 Preview 1.5, have seen increases since the addition of the
PSK-31 mode. This enhancement allows use of the TNC to key the radio in
PSK-31 mode, saving the ham a serial port, and having to change between
programs to change the different modes.
The Log Windows product retails for $69.95 and upgrades from release
3.06.15 or earlier is $40.00. Those who have purchased version 3.70.02 or
greater will get this upgrade free. PacTerm '98 and PKTerm '99 retail for
$79.95 and all products include free in-version up grades. They are
available from dealers around the world, as well as direct from CSS.
Log Windows is owned by SCO, Inc and is maintained by Creative Services
