Marine Radio Ops Quick Start

Before setting up your Radio Control, check to see if you have everything you need:

Installation Instructions

  1. Attach the stereo to mono adapter to the stereo end of your cloning cable and plug that into the 1/8 clone jack on the back of your radio. See your radio manual for more details.
  2. Then plug the RS-232 end of the cable into an open serial port on your computer.
  3. Now that your cloning cable is setup, go into your radio settings and change the remote control input terminal to the clone jack. See your radio manual or the software manual for more details.
  4. To install the software from a file you downloaded, locate the first file on your hard drive and launch it.
  5. To install the software from a CD, place the CD into your CD drive. Locate and launch the SETUP.EXE file for the Marine Radio Ops software. (If you have the software on floppy diskettes rather than on CD, insert Disk 1 in floppy drive A:, click on you Windows "start" button, select "Run..." and type "A:\SETUP.EXE" in the Window and follow the instructions.)

After Installation

The first time you run the Marine Radio Ops software, you will be asked to configure the COM port and baud rate for your computer and radio. Press the OK button and the program will proceed to the next screen. Once the Radio Setup screen appears, be sure to check the following items.

Press the OK button. You are now ready to start using the Marine Radio Opsl software.
