| Press Release WeFax '98 for Windows 95
Lawrence, Kansas and Florence, Alabama. October 21, 1998: Kantronics and Creative Services Software announce WeFax '98, a new 32 bit Windows WeFax program for the Kantronics TNCs will be available in the 4th quarter of 1998. Black and White weather facsimile chats, referred to as "WEFAX" by HF radio operators, have been transmitted by shore stations for years and received by commercial ships, yachts, and radio amateurs. The program will take advantage of the WEFAX mode of the Kantronics line of TNCs. It will allow the user to save the transmission in different file formats, including .bmp (bitmap) format, print the transmission to any windows printer, or email it via the Internet. WeFax 98 is written in robust C++ using the Microsoft Foundation Class library.
