Press Release

WeFax '99 Release 1 for Windows 95,
Windows 98, Windows NT and Windows 2000
to be available in November

Muscle Shoals, Alabama.  October 25, 1999: Creative Services Software announces WeFax '99 Release 1, a new 32 bit Windows WeFax program for the Kantronics and AEA/Timewave TNCs. will be available November, 1999. The program will retail for an introductory price of $49.95 until January 2000 when the retail price becomes $59.95.

The black and white weather facsimile charts , referred to as "WEFAX" by HF radio operators, have been transmitted by shore stations for years and received by commercial ships, yachts, and radio amateurs. This allows yachts, marine and weather observers to get images of current weather conditions where no telephone or television is available.

The program will take advantage of the WEFAX mode of the Kantronics and AEA/Timewave line of TNCs. It will allow the user to save the transmissions in .BMP (bitmap) format, print the transmission to any Windows printer, or email it via the Internet.

Other features include an automated scheduler which will allow users to set times when they want to receive faxes without having to be in front of a computer and a fax image manipulation window, where users can zoom, rotate and flip the image.

WeFax '99 is written in robust C++ using the Microsoft Foundation Class library. It runs under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT and the soon to be released Windows 2000.
