Keyboard ShortcutsIf you would rather use the keyboard than click your way around Windows, here are some keyboard shortcuts that may come in handy to navigating Windows. You might also want to keep them handy for those times when your mouse quits working. <F1> - Starts Windows Help <F10> - Activates the current program's menu options <Shift><F10> - Open the right-click menu <Ctrl><Esc> - Opens the Start menu. You can use the arrow keys to navigate <Alt><Tab> - Allows you to switch between other applications that are running <Alt><Space> - Brings up the system menu where you can: restore, move, size, minimize, maximize, close <Alt><F4> - Closes the current window <Ctrl><X> - Cut <Ctrl><C> - Copy <Ctrl><V> - Paste <Alt><Enter> - Open the Property Sheet for the selected item <F2> - Rename a selected object <F5> - Refreshes the current window <F6> - Moves among the panes in Windows Explorer <Ctrl><Z> - Undo last command <Ctrl><G> - Select all items in the current window <Windows><R> - Brings up the Start, Run Dialog box <Windows><M> - Minimize all windows <Shift><Windows><M> - Undo minimize all windows <Windows><F1> - Windows Help <Windows><E> - Starts Windows Explorer <Windows><F> - Find Files or Folders <Ctrl><Windows><F> - Find Computer <Windows><Tab> - Cycle through buttons on Taskbar <Windows><Break> - System Properties Dialog box Application Key - Display the right-click menu for the selected item
